The beginning...

As some of you may know, I recently uploaded some of the progress on my house on a very well traveled website as "600 dollar throw away house", this past week to show what I was doing with free, recycled, repurposed and found items to decorate and remodel the house. There was an overwhelming response and several requests to start a blog. I did not expect the reception I received from the public and the requests for more were many. To those that find my ideals and accomplishments worthy, here I am! This blog is about the journey I have traveled in achieving the American Dream on little or no money.

I look at several blogs. The only thing that I find in most of them is the lack of a start. A detailed description of HOW they got started. I love what they are doing now and I love what they have done in the past but my biggest questions were about their first thought and their very first action on how they accomplished what they did. I had many dreams and many desires but I lacked that point...where to begin. Everyone has a life and a place...some are content where they are, some just want to add to what they have and some want to just start all over. I am in the last category. Soooo, that is what my first posts are going to be about.

I sincerely hope you find what you are looking for. Inspiration, encouragement, understanding and going for it are what I want my life to be about. It does take a community to raise a child but it takes the bigger half of the world to raise an adult! I got stuck in my present and past and became confused about my future. I have been found and my future is finally becoming a reality. The Dilletante Proprietor title was selected because in it's simplest form it describes me to a T! I am an amateur, a rookie, a greenhorn and I am also (FINALLY) proprietor of my own establishment! I changed the spelling of "Dilettante" to "Dilletante so as to reflect my own personality. To relate, that yes, I am an amateur but I am learning! I am so happy to share it with you all!

  1. Sounds like an exciting adventure! I agree with you about the lack of beginnings. The first thing I do when I find a blog I am inspired by or curious about is go to the beginning to see how it started. I haven't seen many beginnings!
